Fucina Futura

Fucina Futura is based in Marostica, a small town one hour away from Venice. The residency offers artists a peaceful setting to develop their research in close contact with nature and the local community. The project spans two locations: The house designed by Elena Xausa (an international renowned illustrator) near the historic center and the atelier Fucina Ai Gorghi of Daniele Marcon (beloved local painter) ideal for large-scale installations.
Led by visual artist Lavinia and curator Sofia (Futura Association), the program invites residents to develop projects, engaging with the community and the working location.
Indeed, the central goal is the “restitution” to the citizens, fostering cultural exchange and community inclusion. This final phase is tailored to each artist’s sensitivity, taking the form of an exhibition, performance, workshop, screening, talk, or informal sharing session, prioritizing direct dialogue with the public and the contemporary renewal of local tradition.

The residents will be hosted in a spacious house and receive a daily fee to cover living expenses. Travel expenses will also be covered.

The selected artists will be informed by the 30th of August, and they should confirm their participation by the 8th of September.
